About this role
Sr Risk Manager, Amazon Business Payments & Lending New York, New York, USA Amazon B2B Payments and Lending team is looking for a Sr. Portfolio Manager to join the Payments team to drive the strategy and performance of our lending portfolios. This role sits at the intersection of product management, data analytics, and portfolio strategy - requiring someone who can think like a product manager, analyze like a data scientist, and operate with the strategic mindset needed to scale a financial services business. The successful candidate will be a thought leader and builder who thrives on ambiguity, uses data to drive decisions, and partners across multiple organizations to deliver results. You'll work backwards from customer needs while balancing business objectives, defining product features and operational processes that scale, and using metrics to continuously improve portfolio performance through economic cycles. A unique aspect of this role: You'll be at the forefront of AI-enabled portfolio management, contributing to the development and deployment of our Portfolio Manager AI Agent - a generative AI tool designed to augment portfolio managers' capabilities by automating analysis, generating insights, and drafting L10 docs. You'll both leverage this agent to amplify your impact and help shape its evolution based on portfolio management needs. Key job responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution: - Define and own portfolio health metrics, performance targets, and escalation thresholds across the customer lifecycle - Identify emerging trends and business risks proactively; develop and execute mitigation strategies to protect Amazon's balance sheet - Drive strategic initiatives
