About this role

Software Development Engineer, Alexa Plus International Bellevue, Washington, USA Help us bring Alexa+ to every customer, in every language, in every country. We build the platforms that make Alexa+ truly global: the feature gating infrastructure that controls how new experiences reach customers, and the multilingual speech and language systems that let Alexa understand and speak any language, anywhere. Our infrastructure handles hundreds of millions of feature access checks per second and serves customers across more than 20 languages and dialects, and we're just getting started. Our mission this year is to launch Alexa+ across all current Alexa markets, expand into a new wave of countries, and scale our speech stack from a few dozen to over a hundred languages and dialects with multiple engines for speech recognition and synthesis. As an SDE on this team you'll own systems that millions of customers depend on every day, and you'll ship the foundations that make multilingual AI a reality. If you love distributed systems, large platforms at scale, and the messy interesting problems of building software that respects how the world actually communicates, this is the team.
