About this role
Senior Tax Analyst, VAT Compliance Bengaluru, Karnataka, IND Amazon's diverse business requires Indirect Tax (ITX) filings in a number of jurisdictions globally. Amazon is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Tax Analyst to work in its International Indirect Tax Compliance team based in Bangalore, India. Amazon Tax Department is a fast-paced, team-focused and dynamic environment. This position will be responsible (as part of a larger team) for the preparation and filing of various ITX returns and related submissions for APAC countries. This position may also assist with the provision of data to tax authorities and with other ITX compliance actions relating to Amazon or third-party sellers. Work may also include some mainstream ITX compliance activities, supporting internal and external audits and liaising with colleagues in ITX Planning, Controversy and Controllership as well as the wider business. You will need an understanding of financial systems and technical accounting awareness for this work. You may also be involved in projects that have an ITX compliance impact. You will be expected to take ownership of your activities, identify process improvement opportunities for existing processes and controls and drive positive change across the organisation. Key job responsibilities As part of the International Indirect Tax Compliance team, the Senior Tax Analyst will be required to: • Prepare, analyse, review and submit India ITX returns and related filings; • Handle with ITX registrations across various jurisdictions; • Manage ITX compliance queries from Amazon businesses/ internal teams; • Lead in identifying areas of improvement and implement solutions
