About this role
Senior Product Manager, Selection, JP Books Tokyo, JPN Amazon Japan is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to own and drive the selection strategy and science for JP Books across Kindle and Print Retail. In this high-visibility role, you will define the strategic framework for differentiated selection initiatives and develop the selection science roadmap that determines how we identify, measure, and capture opportunities across the entire Books business. As a single-threaded leader, you will own the overarching selection strategy, define publisher acquisition priorities, and partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Category Management, and Supply Chain to make Amazon the destination for Japan's most passionate book and manga fans. This role offers the opportunity to pioneer selection science capabilities in Japan while directly impacting customer acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who can effectively balance customer experience insights with publisher partnership development and business growth. You will be responsible for leading a complex cross-functional product strategy with substantial organizational impact and high-level senior leadership visibility. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to drive programs from conception through implementation at exceptional pace.
