Senior Optical Reliability Engineer, OISL Reliability Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. We are building the next generation of optical interconnect systems, and reliability is at the heart of what we do. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Optical Reliability Engineer to join our OISL Reliability team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of optical systems, components, and subsystems - including optical amplifiers and laser-based technologies. You will work cross-functionally with design, systems, and test engineering teams to develop and execute reliability strategies that meet product quality and lifetime requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on state of the art optical technologies, collaborate with world-class engineers, and make a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. Key job responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain reliability models and frameworks for optical and electrical components • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and root cause analysis (RCA) for optical systems and subsystems • Define and execute accelerated life testing (ALT) and highly accelerated life testing (HALT)
