Senior Manager, Public Policy Arlington, Virginia, USA Amazon is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Public Policy to join a growing and dynamic team that works in support of Amazon's energy, environmental, and sustainability goals. Across our entire operation, Amazon is working to transition to carbon-free energy, reduce waste, and limit our impact on the environment. In this role, the Senior Manager will develop and execute policy and advocacy strategies to advance Amazon's energy and climate goals at the federal and state level. They will coordinate across the federal policy team and with regional policy managers responsible for engaging on legislation and build positive relationships with policymakers. They will assess and anticipate public policy matters, execute external advocacy efforts, and drive key initiatives. The Senior Manager will analyze proposed legislation, policies, and regulations related to energy, carbon accounting, and GHG protocols. They will translate relevant developments for stakeholders in the business. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with business, legal, and communications teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals.
