About this role
Operations Designer, International Operations Design Team Mexico City, Mexico City, MEX Amazon is seeking an experienced and business orientated Operations Designer who will own the delivery of innovative designs within a portfolio for the International Operations Design Team. The Operations Designer is responsible for the management of processes, information flow and acts as an SME in facilitating collaboration and portfolio alignment to deliver layouts on time and to a high quality. The ideal candidate will be a natural self-starter and experienced in logistics and design, possessing a high work capacity & agility. They will be detail-orientated and data-driven with a talent for problem-solving and a positive can-do-attitude. Knowledge of operations processes, design dependencies and execution for a construction and fit-out environment is critical. In this role, the individual will understand all aspects of planning, design and deployment of an Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FC) and co-ordinate the composite design deliverables. The individual will ensure that customer needs for designs are met and drive year-on-year improvement in stakeholder collaboration and efficiency. The Operations Designer will support the Design Manager and Design Program Manager in planning, execution and tracking of the program, working within a cross-functional team to provide best in class designs and deliver turnkey ready projects from day 1. The role will be based in Mexico, with some travel expected for up to 40% of the time, depending on the project portfolio.
