Mechanical Design Engineer Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be a member of the Amazon Leo Inter-Satellite Link team, focusing on the design of the various mechanical ground support equipment, including assembly, alignment, and testing fixturing and tooling. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will be expected to lead a variety of tasks, developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for manufacturing GSE for payloads satellite systems in Siemens NX. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs, with competency on PCBA fabrication, and fiber-optic handling. We're looking for a mechanical engineer with aerospace/defense background, and a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.
