HW Development Engineer, Amazon Leo Kirkland, Washington, USA Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Key job responsibilities - Conduct failure mode analysis (FMA) and root cause analysis on phased array PCBAs and systems to determine underlying causes of defects - Specify, procure, and establish FMA test stations optimized for phased array PCBA troubleshooting on the production floor - Communicate non-conformances to quality engineering teams and PCBA suppliers, working collaboratively to implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring defects - Write comprehensive technical specifications for troubleshooting procedures, tailored to Amazon Leo's satellite manufacturing requirements - Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring engineers and technicians on troubleshooting techniques, failure analysis methodologies, and debug equipment operation - Lead defect triage sessions and track failure trends across production shifts to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives About the team As a FMA and HW Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will be directly responsible for testing and qualifying next generation spacecraft PCBAs and conduct failure mode analysis on complex phased array systems.
