About this role
Finance Manager, AWS Worldwide Sustainability Finance Seattle, Washington, USA The Sustainability Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager to lead finance support for Amazon's sustainability regulatory disclosure readiness and Climate Risk assessments. This will include working closely with stakeholders across the central Sustainability organization to track in-force regulations in markets where Amazon operates, synthesizing insights extracted from large and complex data, calculating metrics relevant to regulations including owning Amazon's climate risk modeling, presenting results to VP-level executives, and working with 3rd party assurance partners. This role requires a high degree of ownership and ability to work independently. Beyond these core responsibilities, this individual will have the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, build and establish workstreams, and provide insights cross-organizationally that drive meaningful financial and sustainability value. This will require the ideal candidate to leverage their expertise in areas like financial modeling, accounting, project management, and executive-level communication skills. Key job responsibilities • End to end ownership of sustainability financial disclosure metrics for Amazon • Coordinate with business partners to ensure preparedness for disclosure for all required sustainability regulations • Manage Amazon's Physical Climate Risk Model, which estimates financial risks and opportunities from changing climatic patterns • Socialize sustainability financial disclosures with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with finance inputs and outputs • Establish mechanisms and processes that are repeatable and scalable to gain efficiencies as Amazon's regulatory reporting requirements increase About the team The Sustainability Finance team supports the management of Amazon's social and environmental impact globally and partners
