Design Engineer, Urban Fulfilment Bellevue, Washington, USA The SSD (sub-same day) Design Engineering team is searching for an innovative, solutions-oriented design engineer to spearhead new initiatives and develop the next generation of world-class industrial building designs. We seek resourceful engineers who are critical thinkers and excel in cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our delivery stations. Your projects will be a variety of delivery station concepts and template-based design solutions that will enhance the effectiveness of Amazon's last mile network. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Ability to travel 25% to interact with internal and external business, operational and technical leaders. Key job responsibilities • Create detailed 2D CAD drawings of delivery station layouts, integrating conveyor systems, sorting equipment, and automation solutions based on operational requirements and capacity targets. • Lead and coordinate design efforts to develop optimal last-mile delivery station solutions, incorporating advanced material handling equipment, automation technologies, and modular systems. • Develop and present comprehensive technical documents that detail the design specifications, engineering rationale, and how the project aligns with the business goals and requirements. • Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors and stakeholders to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions. • Translate
