About this role
Design & Construction TPM, Launch Operations Merritt Island, Florida, USA Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. The Design and Construction TPM will be a key member of the Launch Operations team, responsible for leading the planning, design, and construction of Leo's expanding network infrastructure. This role is integral to the development and implementation of Leo's Launch Operations strategy, including both new construction and facility expansions. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the position requires expertise in managing complex construction projects while maintaining Amazon's high standards for quality and efficiency. Key job responsibilities - Oversee end-to-end project management for Leo builds, retrofits, and expansions, including scope definition, schedule management, and budget oversight. - Lead architectural and engineering design processes, ensuring compliance with Amazon specifications and regulatory requirements. Review and approve design changes, evaluate value engineering opportunities, and develop solutions for emerging requirements. - Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing safety, quality, and budget requirements while assessing building conditions and implementing sustainable practices. - Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with architects, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities. - Influence cross-functional teams through constructive dialogue and provide regular status updates to
