Data Engineer II, ISF Central Tech Team Seattle, Washington, USA Here's the two-paragraph version: The International Stores Finance Central Engineering team is seeking a passionate, solution-oriented Data Engineer to design and build complex ETL pipelines and analytics solutions that power data-driven decision-making across Amazon's rapidly growing international business. You will lead the technical design, development, and launch of a new global system serving finance needs worldwide-delivering data as a service that directly influences day-to-day decisions and makes it easier for customers to do business with Amazon Retail. The ideal candidate brings strong experience designing and building secure, globally distributed systems on AWS, with responsibility for architecture, design, and implementation that delivers availability and latency guarantees. Beyond technical excellence, you will be a leader on the team-mentoring junior engineers, contributing to hiring through interviews, and setting a high bar for coding standards across the organization. Key job responsibilities 5+ years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience leading and influencing the data strategy of your team or organization Experience in SQL A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major Hands-on experience leading delivery and operations of distributed, high quality systems Fundamentals in data structures, algorithm, problem solving, and complexity analysis Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of data engineering experience - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience with SQL - Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently Preferred Qualifications: -
