About this role
Contracts Manager, AWS Legal Arlington, Virginia, USA Join Amazon's Legal Department as a Contracts Manager supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS), where you'll manage the complete lifecycle of contracts for our global data center infrastructure. You'll work on high-impact agreements spanning design, construction, operations, maintenance, and security-directly influencing how we scale cloud computing infrastructure worldwide. Key job responsibilities - Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of contracts across diverse data center activities, including general contractor agreements, engineering and design vendor contracts, operations and maintenance service agreements, work orders, change orders, and related ancillary agreements - Provide day-to-day legal and commercial guidance to business stakeholders on projects, negotiations, vendor management, and internal and external communications - Partner with cross-functional teams including construction, procurement, engineering, operations, security, and finance to anticipate needs, assess and manage risk, and deliver timely, actionable support - Identify and implement process improvements that enable scalable, efficient contract management, including standardization measures and elimination of repetitive or low-risk work - Drive efficiency improvements through workflow automation, standardization, and cross-functional alignment, while evaluating and adopting legal technology and AI tools to enhance quality, speed, and scalability A day in the life As a Contracts Manager supporting AWS data center infrastructure, you'll engage with a diverse portfolio of contracting work.
