About this role
Communications Manager, Amazon Ads Comms Arlington, Virginia, USA Amazon Ads is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead corporate reputation initiatives across our global advertising business. In this role, you'll develop and execute both proactive and reactive communications strategies that protect and enhance Amazon Ads reputation among key industry stakeholders, including advertisers, agencies, publishers, and industry analysts. Key job responsibilities * Lead the development and implementation of proactive PR strategies to position Amazon Ads as an industry thought leader and trusted partner * Manage reactive communications and crisis response for issues impacting Amazon Ads' reputation * Build and maintain relationships with top-tier advertising, marketing, and business media outlets and reporters * Create compelling narratives around Amazon Ads' business strategy, product innovations, and customer success stories * Collaborate with executive leadership to develop authentic positioning and messaging * Partner with internal teams including Product PR, Corporate Communications, Policy, Legal, and Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across all external touchpoints * Prepare executives for media interviews, speaking opportunities, and industry events * Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and public sentiment to identify reputation opportunities and risks * Measure and report on the effectiveness of reputation management strategies Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree - Proven track record managing proactive and reactive communications for a global business - Strong media relationships with relevant business and trade publications - Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans that drive business results Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding
