Our team is at the heart of Amazon's mission to make credit accessible, responsible, and seamless for customers across the globe. We design and manage the credit risk frameworks that power lending products loved by millions - from Pay Later to EMI solutions and beyond. We are looking for a strategic and analytical Associate Vice President to join our Risk Management Team, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and proficiency in data management and manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel. You will design and implement scalable risk governance frameworks that engage with customers throughout their loan lifecycle - from acquisition to customer management - enabling lending operations to run efficiently at scale within a defined risk appetite. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong operational rigor, cross-functional collaboration with Product, Collections, Finance, Tech, Compliance, and Legal teams, and the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of internal and external audiences. Key job responsibilities • Own end-to-end delivery of Risk Initiatives aligned to broader Team objectives. • Design, maintain, and update risk mitigation policies and controls across all customer interactions - onboarding journey, credit and fraud underwriting, and customer lifecycle management • Create and own a lending portfolio
