The Opportunity We're building something new for New York City's independent drivers - the people who keep the city moving but are often left out of traditional healthcare systems. Together with Independent Drivers Guild and Workers Benefit Fund (WBF), we launched the Worker Healthy Living Program (WHLP) - a lifestyle medicine-informed program designed to help drivers live healthier, longer lives through food, movement, sleep, stress management, and community. Akido is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our interdisciplinary care team delivering holistic, community-based care to underserved populations. This role sits at the heart of a new model of healthcare - combining clinical support, patient advocacy, and community engagement across in-person, virtual, and mobile settings. You'll work closely with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, dietitians, health coaches, and social workers to support relationship-based care and lifestyle medicine programs
