The SharePoint Online System Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting migrations from legacy SharePoint environments into modern SharePoint Online. This role focuses on ensuring smooth transitions of content, workflows, permissions, and solutions, while modernizing business processes through Power Platform and updated SharePoint Online capabilities. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT. Key Responsibilities SharePoint Online Migration - Execute migrations from SharePoint Subscription Edition into SharePoint Online using enterprise migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Migration Manager, PowerShell automation). - Diagnose and resolve issues during migration, including throttling, permissions inconsistencies, legacy workflow dependencies, or unsupported customizations. - Prepare pre‑migration assessments, inventory reports, mapping documents, content normalization, and remediation plans.
