This role involves the use of measurement tools, electronics troubleshooting, and computer operation. Key responsibilities include interpreting railroad documents to derive train speed information, reviewing and analyzing track measurement data for reporting, and operating hi-rail commercial motor vehicles. Additionally, the position involves vehicle maintenance for rail survey cars and hi-rail vehicles, along with regular housekeeping duties for safety and sanitation aboard survey vehicles. The test software will be developed using C code or customer-based scripts and run in Lab environment on the test simulation systems. Knowledge of hardware integration and debug will be a plus though not required for the position. Integration will include software emulators and debuggers to control the system down to the lowest level of operation. The position will require the development of formal Requirements Based Test procedures. The requirements, test procedures, and results will be placed in CM system and traced via DOORS to meet DO-178C standards.
